Interior Architecture Design
Design Statement: “Architecture and interior architecture are not final destinations, but living dialogues between the structures we build and the ecosystems they inhabit.” Design must be as adaptive as the nature that it seeks to protect. My mission is to dismantle the rigid barriers of traditional design by integrating biophilic logic, fluid spatial rules, and ecological responsibility. By bridging scientific research and human experience, architecture can create inclusive environments that support innovation and learning. By balancing empathy with technical precision, I aim to transform spaces into resilient journeys that honour both the people and the ecosystem, allowing built and natural worlds to thrive in meaningful alignment.
Project Overview: In our contemporary era, rapid coastal expansion has contributed to significant ecological instability. The crisis of land reclamation calls for architecture to shift from being a passive consumer of resources to become an active, regenerative response. Shifting Shores addresses this instability by transforming the existing site into an Integrated Synthesis Nexus (ISN), a specialized hub for marine research, education, and environmental recovery. Reimagined as a living laboratory, the ISN brings together knowledge, design innovation, and ecological engagement. The architectural framework allows staff, students, and visitors to coexist within a fluid, biophilic interior, blurring the boundaries between specialised ecological study and public participation. By integrating research, education, and community awareness, the ISN moves beyond traditional building roles to become a catalyst for healing and regenerating the regional marine environment.
