Design Statement: Design is a way to create spaces that support people emotionally, not just physically. I’m curious about how spaces can help people feel safe, at ease, and understood, especially during moments when they need care and restoration. For me, design is not only about how a space looks, but how it is experienced. A meaningful space can slow people down, help them reconnect with themselves, and create a sense of belonging. As a designer, my aim is to create spaces that are encouraging, thoughtful, and emotionally meaningful, allowing people to pause, reflect, and simply be themselves.
Project Overview: “A space that shelters, slows, and strengthens from inside out.” In a world of constant noise, pressure, and digital overstimulation, this retreat is designed as a space for women to disconnect, reflect, and heal. Set within the stillness of the desert, the project transforms an often-overlooked landscape into a sanctuary of comfort, connection, and emotional restoration. This project acknowledges that healing does not always need to occur in clinical environments but can instead be supported through thoughtfully designed spaces. The design transforms a space into a therapeutic setting that encourages stillness, reflection, and emotional recovery. The aim is to create a sanctuary where women can disconnect from external pressures, reconnect with themselves, and find strength through both solitude and shared experience.
