Communication Design
Design Statement: “Good design is honest.” — Dieter Rams. This principle shapes the way I approach design. I believe design has the power to address real human experiences with clarity, sensitivity, and care. As a designer, I am interested in how storytelling, visual communication, and interaction design can make sensitive topics feel more approachable. When designing for young users, I believe every detail matters, as each element can influence how safe, supported, and understood they feel. I strive to solve practical problems while also creating experiences that can inspire positive change. My design practice is grounded in empathy and vision. I aim to create experiences that build deep human connections and leave a lasting impact on the way we live and grow.
Project Overview: SPOT is a thoughtful menstrual care system composed of a device and app, purposefully designed for adolescents aged 10 to 15, marking a pivotal moment in early cycle awareness. At its heart is a portable keychain device that holds sanitary pads in case of menstrual emergencies, with a dynamic screen, inviting users to connect with their cycles from day one. Each detail, from its playful design to its interactive packaging, is intentional, encouraging a generation of young girls to embrace their cycles with confidence and curiosity. SPOT is not just a product; it’s a movement to redefine how early cycle habits are built, fostering connection, awareness, and innovation where it matters most.
