Design Statement: “Spaces That Restore Balance” Design can create spaces that feel emotionally connected, calming, and profound. My work approach explores the balance between vulnerability, interaction, and resilience, transforming spaces from visual settings into lived experiences. Combining strong architectural forms with softer natural elements to create environments that help people pause, reflect, and reconnect is particularly interesting to me. Shaped by different life and work experiences, this design perspective considers people, emotions, and functionality as interconnected parts of spatial experience. The aim is to create spaces that are thoughtful, supportive, and human-centred, with attention to detail and a strong sense of emotional connection.
Project Overview: The Balance Lab is designed as a journey through vulnerability, overflow, and resilience. It begins with arrival and exposure, where users bring external pressures into the space. As engagement increases, the experience moves into overflow, where movement, activity, and intensity begin to build. The design then shifts toward resilience, creating spaces for reflection, learning, and reset. Through this spatial progression, users are guided toward balance, emotional recovery, and reconnection.
