TESSA
Tester ecosystem for safe and smart application

Design Statement: Everyday interactions, though often overlooked, can strongly influence user confidence, comfort, and decision-making. I believe design should go beyond visual appeal to create experiences that are organized, reliable, and responsive to real user needs. My approach focuses on identifying gaps within existing systems and exploring how physical and digital touchpoints can work together to improve experience. I am drawn to design that balances functionality, hygiene, sustainability, and engagement, especially in retail environments, where small details shape consumer trust and behaviour. This project strengthened my understanding of how design can improve user experience and operational efficiency through thoughtful systems, practical innovation, and human-centred solutions.

Project Overview: Cosmetic testers are crucial for purchasing decisions, yet poor hygiene, product damage, and inconsistent maintenance create barriers for customers and retailers. TESSA proposes a hygienic, structured, and sustainable in-store testing ecosystem. Using user-friendly touchpoints, smart tracking, and maintenance alerts, the system enhances tester safety, consistency, and engagement. A mobile app further extends the experience by allowing users to save products they wish to try later, bridging the gap between online shopping and in-store purchase. Retailers gain insights into product performance and conversion, enabling better stock and hygiene management. TESSA merges hygiene, sustainability, and data-driven design to create a smarter, safer, more engaging tester experience.
