Design Statement: My design philosophy centers on exploring the interplay between nature, materiality, and human experience. I’m intrigued by the potential of sustainable and organic materials to shape visual and spatial outcomes that balance aesthetics and functionality. Through experimentation, observation, and storytelling, I aim to create designs that feel tactile, expressive, and environmentally conscious. Simple, textured things and subtle details matter a lot to me, drawing inspiration from natural structures, handcraft, and modern visual culture. As a designer, I find design to be a means of communication, but also as a way to rethink how people relate to materials, objects, and the world around them.
Project Overview: Loofolio is a sustainable packaging brand that transforms natural loofah fiber into functional, aesthetically refined packaging solutions. Rooted in material-led design and circular economy principles, the brand offers an environmentally responsible alternative to conventional plastic and foam packaging. The core principle of Loofolio is that brand identity can be communicated through material itself. Loofah is perfect for packing delicate items like skincare, cosmetics, and handcrafted goods because of its inherent porous nature, offering natural cushioning, breathability, and lightweight protection. The fiber is formed into structured shapes that strike a compromise between biodegradability and durability by compression and molding processes, guaranteeing both sustainability and performance.
